Come Summer and the King of Fruits arrives!
It would be a shame if one doesn’t indulge in all the delicacies made using this grand fruit called Mango.
We Indians are obsessed with our Mangoes! Be it any variety. Well aren’t we proud of the odd 1000 different varities of Mangoes produced in our land.
Even if we choose to eat type of Mango one each day we will be done with Summer without having to repeat any of them.
Summers also mean Icecream. Ok, it also means Barf Gola but then Ice cream is easily available, hygienic and in so many flavours.
Now what if I shared this simple Icecream recipe with you that tempts you to make a batch right away? I bet you won’t be able to resist.
So let’s get started with all that you need to make a simple, creamylicious Mango Icecream.
Surprisingly, the list of ingredients is not that long, you just need 1, 2, 3 ya, that’s it 3 things to make the most sought after dessert, in your home.
Dairy Cream, Milkmaid and ofcourse Mango .. that’s it. Your icecream is going to be that hassle free and easy to make.
3 medium sized mangoes or 1.5 cups mango puree (Aam ras)
500ml dairy cream
300ml milkmaid (sweetened evaporated milk)
Step 1 – Whip cream in a big, dry vessel till frothy.
Step 2 – Add in Mango puree and Milkmaid. Whip for a minute till everything mixes well. Do not overmix.
Step 3 – Check for sweetness, you could add more milkmaid if required.
Step 4 – Pour Icecream mixture in containers to set. Freeze for 4 hours or till slushyis .
Step 5 – Remove and blend the icecream once again. Pour back into the containers to set. At this stage add bite sized mango pieces if you want.
Step 6 – Freeze icecream overnight. Serve next day.
